       Artist Statement

 

     I am a choreographer, dance artist, and dance educator. Fascinated by communication, I explore and relate to the world through dance, seeking to make the invisible, visible. Experiencing dance cultivates empathy through sincere performance practice. Dance is an act of love when the dancer unapologetically takes up space and generously shapes a world through ways of being in-between shapes. Dance relates to life in how we move from place to place, role to role, mood to mood. It is how identity manifests even in the margins of routine.
